0 "Time sheath" can "hide time"

U.S. scientists said they created the first "long sheath"
a device that can be hidden even whole events from an observer, in effect making him the time to disappear.
Something similar theory had been announced some time ago, by Professor Martin MakKol theoretical physics at Imperial College London. But now there is a formal communication to the prestigious scientific magazine «Nature» that achieved for the first time experimental evidence that this can happen even if the incident that scientists disappear, lasted much less than the blink of eye.
It was a beginning for a promising technology that might do wonders in the future will resemble science fiction. The researchers, led by Professor Moti Friedman and Alexander Gaeta School of Applied Physics, Cornell University, according to the British "Daily e-mails," managed to "hide" events that lasted 40 trillionths of a second, accelerating and slowing down while different parts of a beam of light.

Then, these different parts of light combined together and the result was the observers can not see what happened during the "hidden" time, even for this tiny space. Simply the relevant information of the incident was not available to the "read" (ie to see it) and so the viewer could not be aware of. Whatever happened to these "hidden" milliseconds, was "nonexistent" to him.

People see something happening around them, because the light reaching their eyes. If the light-for some reason, no longer draws the eye, then the event has not been for the observers. It's like a deleted scene from the "film" of events. At present, however, the police did not have to worry that a felon can hide the crime, as it should move very-much faster than a human being to catch up to "eliminate" illegal event within millionths the second, allowing the device to take place to hide an event.

But in practice, even at this early stage, this technology could be used to improve the security of communications over fiber from potential "eavesdroppers", and the transmitted encoded information would be as if he had sent ever. Scientists hope that the new technique could be combined with another class invisibility cloak in the field, who "hide" objects, so that eventually they can "disappear" as an event in space and time.

After the two categories sheathing work in different physical dimensions of space and time respectively, nothing seems to prevent their combination to create some time a full spacetime invisibility cloak. The next step is to slowly increase the duration of hiding from the class of this trillionths of microns or even of milliseconds, while to achieve their device to work with light coming from different directions and not just one as now. However, researchers believe that, at least with this technique, hardly able to wipe out an event that lasts for more than 0.00012 seconds.

Mathematical calculations show that to "hide" an event lasting a whole second, it would hide the device has a length of 30,000 km! Unlike blankets the area, usually "bend" light around the objects, the cloak of time compresses the light (which passes through a fiber optic cable) through a special lens which causes the front of the beam light to move more quickly and the back of slower. This causes light to be separated, creating an intermediate short "gap".

Shortly after, a second lens in the optical fiber cable causes the two parts of light to join. Thus, the light beam exiting from the other end of the cable appears identical to that entered the cable, but in the meantime, the movement was of a "gap" during which they may have done something, but the information as light can not transfer it to the reader at the end of the cable. The whole device-sheath called "electro-optic modulator."
